Scissors

There are a range of scissors depending on the job in hand but effecively they all are created for the same purpose cutting through various materials and containing two pivoted blades. Scissors tend to be designed ergonically from composite material and tend to have rubber handles which enable the user to apply either a power grip or precision grip. Some scissors have an added appendage, commonly known as a finger brace, this allow the middle finger to rest and enable better control and precision cutting. As scissors have overlapping blades, it means they are not symmetrical so depending on what handed the user is depends on what type should be purchased. Don’t be misled by the handles, true handed scissors can be easily verified by taking a quick look at the blades whilst the scissors are in your cutting hand, the blade should alway be sat at the top.
